Terms of Service

Last updated: August 17, 2026

These Terms are between you and Verinome ("Verinome," "we," "us"). By using this site or purchasing, you agree to them, along with the Privacy Policy, Disclaimer, and Refund Policy (all incorporated by reference).

Eligibility

You must be 18 or older and legally able to contract. You may only upload a genotype file that is your own or that you are legally authorized to analyze.

What Verinome is (and isn’t)

Educational/wellness software that analyzes a genotype file locally in your browser. Not a medical device, not diagnostic, not medical advice (see the Disclaimer). No physician-patient or other professional relationship is created.

Local processing; your responsibility for your data

Your file and results are processed and stored on your device, under your control. You are responsible for the security of your own device and of any reports you download or export.

License to you

A personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, lifetime license to use Verinome and your generated reports for your own personal, non-commercial use. The paid tier is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.

Acceptable use

No reselling, sublicensing, or commercial redistribution of reports; no reverse engineering except as law allows; no uploading data you’re not authorized to use; no unlawful, infringing, or abusive use; no attempts to break, overload, or circumvent the service.

Intellectual property

Verinome’s software, content, evidence-grading system, and branding are ours. The reports you generate about your own data are yours to keep and use for personal purposes.

Third-party services

Payments run through Stripe under Stripe’s own terms; scientific references cite third-party sources (for example CPIC and published literature) that we don’t control.

Payment, price & pricing claims

The current price is stated at checkout. Any comparison to competitor pricing is provided for information and reflects our understanding at the stated date; competitors set their own prices.

Refunds

Governed by the 30-Day, No-Questions Refund Policy.

Disclaimer of warranties

Provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages; our aggregate liability is capped at the amount you paid. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded (for example, certain consumer-law and personal-injury rights).

No medical reliance

You agree not to rely on Verinome for medical, diagnostic, or prescribing decisions, and to consult a clinician before acting on any result, especially pharmacogenomic information.

Indemnification

You will indemnify us for claims arising from your misuse of the service or your use of data you weren’t authorized to analyze.

Changes & termination

We may update the service or these Terms; material changes will be posted with a new date, and continued use means acceptance. We may suspend access for breach; your lifetime license to already-downloaded reports survives to the extent they live on your device.

Governing law & disputes

Governing law, venue, and any arbitration terms will be stated here plainly once the operating entity is registered and counsel has confirmed them for its jurisdiction. Until then, nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
